Long Bay Club

Long Bay Club

Location 350 Fox Tail Drive
Longs, SC 29568
Rating 4.1 Stars

Great golf courses are often described as where the holes become etched in your memory. Long Bay Club is such a course.

The Long Bay Club is a magnificent Jack Nicklaus Signature Course that is consistently ranked among the top courses in the state. This is not a typical Nicklaus design; deep pot bunkers and vast waste areas add a unique identity and challenge.

Considered one of the most difficult golf courses on the Grand Strand, this Jack Nicklaus-designed masterpiece was built to challenge even the most adroit golfer. Formidable in every feature, Long Bay displays countless large man-made mounds, a demanding 137 slope from the championship tees (127 from the ladies), handsome but deceiving par-3 holes and bottomless bunkers.

With a beautiful clubhouse, and a fully stocked pro shop, grill and immense practice area, Long Bay is a place you can spend the whole day at and enjoy a wide array of golf experiences.

Some of the holes at Long Bay have become some of the most recognized in golf. Long Bay Club was awarded 4.5 STARS by Golf Digest’s “Places to Play” in 2006.

I wasnt impressed with the course. What drew me in was the name jack nicklaus. I dont think jack nicklaus would approve of how the course is run and how they are taking care of the course.

We live 45 minutes away. My wife and I just played 3 rounds there over th ast well or so. Hadnt been over to Long Bay since its early 90s construction. We played these rounds because we Long the course layout, conditioning, and staff. We will continue to come on down, even though we live on our own wonderful course.
