King’s North at Myrtle Beach National

Location 4900 National Drive
Myrtle Beach, SC 29579
Rating 4

This sensational Arnold Palmer signature course was recognized among America’s Best New Courses when it opened in 1996.

King’s North made its way onto Golf Digest’s prestigious list of “America’s 100 Greatest Public Courses- 2004” and Golf Digest’s “Places to Play” has awarded it 4.5 STARS ever since! Plus, from 2000-2004 Golf for Women ranked it their “Top 100 Courses in America”, truly a must play in the Myrtle Beach area.

Famous for the island green and South Carolina shaped sand traps of Hole 3; the famed par-5 sixth hole, nicknamed “The Gambler” that tempts golfers with a shortcut to the green via an island fairway. (Two great shots allow a chance to eagle); and with over 40 sand traps guarding the fairway on Hole 18 it is easy to see why this has been the most recognized and requested course on the beach for over 25 years.

Fun course with some very unique and memorable holes. However, the fairways were not nearly as nice as some of the other course we played. Also, I think when someone books a round at any of your courses, they should be notified if the greens have been recently aerated. We would not have played here had we known this when we scheduled our tee time.

Beautiful and brutal. I like the beach by the ocean not here.

Great course with friendly staff. Coming from Oklahoma the course was pristine. There are very nice courses in OK but a very different experience in myrtle beach.

More difficult of the three courses. None of the holes felt the same. Challenging yet satisfying when hitting good shots. Greens were fantastic.

Course is beautiful and quite tricky. Starters and Marshalls are very friendly

A very pleasant experience from our arrival through the pro-shop check-in to the ranger and our round. Course was in good shape and pace of play was reasonable.

Course is in great shape. Par 3's are short but lots of water. Lots of nice views on this course including a small gator on the Gambler Hole. One big downfall was pace of play almost 5 hours with a 8:15 Tee Time is not good this time of year. Course is tuff so please pick the proper tees & make more enjoyable for you & the groups following you. The rangers need to be more proactive with slow play.

The course overall was great, but for more than half our round we had mowers or sand crews on top of us.

overall great day. loved the course and staff. Loved that it supported Folds of Honor in the clubhouse. Driving range was ok, only course I played the whole week where I had to use mats.
