Elite Junior Talent Headlines 2026 Dustin Johnson World Junior at TPC Myrtle Beach

A collection of America’s best young players is preparing to descend on TPC Myrtle Beach in hopes of winning the 11th Annual Dustin Johnson World Junior Golf Championship, which will be played March 6-8.

Johnson, the former World No. 1 and two-time major champion, launched the tournament in 2016 with the goal of creating one of the nation’s most prestigious junior events, and he quickly succeeded.

Among the 54-hole event’s past champions are PGA Tour winners Akshay Bhatia, Michael Brennan and Jacob Bridgeman, and LPGA champion Alexa Pano, and the 2026 field may be home to another young star on the rise.

This year’s tournament will feature:

● 35 of 60 boys ranked in the top 100 of the Universal Golf Rankings (TUGR), including 11 in the top 50
● 28 boys ranked in the top 100 of the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) Rolex Rankings
● Defending champion Arrow Aarav Shah returning to defend his title
● 24 of 30 girls ranked in the top 100 of TUGR
● 21 of 30 girls ranked in the top 100 of the AJGA Rolex Rankings

Defending champion Arrow Aarav Shah (pictured right) returns to defend his title against a field that includes Sohan Patel, the AJGA’s No. 22-ranked player, and Jackson Ormond, the AJGA’s No. 26-ranked player. Also competing will be TCU commitment Cameron Kuchar, the son of nine-time PGA Tour winner Matt Kuchar, and Karl Stenson, the son of 2016 Open Championship winner Henrik Stenson.

On the girls’ side, the pre-tournament favorite is Michelle Xing, the highest-ranked player in the field. She will be joined by No. 22 Alexa Takai and No. 34 Alexandra Snyder.

TPC Myrtle Beach has long been regarded as one of South Carolina’s premier public courses. From the daunting par-4 ninth hole to the short par-4 12th and the risk-reward 18th — an unforgettable par 5 — TPC rewards power, precision and more than a little nerve.

The course is regarded as one of Myrtle Beach’s leading big-event venues, a reputation it earned as the former host of the Senior PGA Tour Championship, the NCAA Division I Myrtle Beach Regional Championship, and numerous other events.

TPC Myrtle Beach is in pristine condition as it prepares to host the game’s next generation of stars, providing a fitting stage for a championship that continues to grow in prestige each year.
